In Satu Mare (Máréfalva) you can find numerous carved-painted Seklergates, our route strats at the oldest monument Seklergate, on the main road to Miercurea-Ciuc (Csíkszereda). On the way we can admire the various types of Seklergates. After about 300 meters, on the right side of the road you can visit the traditionaly furnished Country House. Biking forward, after 500 m from the end of the village, you can turn onto the old roman road, which they transported salt on. The cycle path leads up to the Cekend plateau near and sometimes in the woods, where you can observe the wildlife. On the plateau emerges an amazing view: you can see the whole Harghita mountain chain. Up here an asphalt road crosses the cycle path, and it unites with the Way of Mary. On the wide pastures cattles, horse and sheep herds are graze. Moving forward the path goes downhill, and the last part of it goes through the woods again. At the point you exit the woods you arrive to Băile Homorod (Homoródfürdő), where numerous fountains burst up from the ground..
